Watch
There must be something
on a better station
broadcasting live between
reality and reruns.
There must be somes-
thetic reprogramming
between the rattle out
and the opening gurgle in.
There must be sometime
to pause mid arc on air
between the ambulance
and our unscheduled sponsor break.
There must be somewhere
the viewers flip between
the victim they despise
and ghosts they never believe.
There must be someway
to mute the nightly news
of loathing lethargy
between the bright squeaky snow.
There must be someone
between the fear and lust
that blacks out childhood
for the studio audience.
